Day 17, Strawberry's World

When conversations go from skirts to GI Joe, from there to World War II to finally end up concluding Ken is a pussy, you know you're with a good crowd of people.

# 2. Strawberry the radical Santa in front of a new tree, of which I will try to get a better picture because thats one awesome and arty tree.
# 3. Pretty lady, I forgot her name.
# 4. Wendy loves dollies.

Even if your name is Ken:

Day 13, Strawberry's World

Because Strawberry is out of town and no building has been going on, just some groovy avie pictures today. Hell yes, that includes a pic of me.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: Me in my Fists-Across-SL-shirt.
# 2: Wendy watched the weather forecast.
# 3: Peachy, always here but not often there, looking fab.
# 4: Wendy close-up.

Day 12, Strawberry's World

Today I took some friends to Strawberry's World and as soon as they had revived from their colour OD's, we skipped around the place like a bunch of enthousiastic golden retriever puppies and we had a jolly good time. Naturally they agreed to the delightfulness of Strawberry's World and one of my friends described the place as "80ties Neon City Art", which I thought was a very nice way to perceive it.

The main eye catcher is definitely the tower in the centre. What an awesome construction.

Day 11, Strawberry's World

For a lady who I thought would not be the least of feminists, poor Wendy spends an awful lot of time on her knees cleaning the floor. The place looks spic and span, that's for sure.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: Panorma fragment.
# 2: I hope Wendy gets paid for this.

Day 10, Strawberry's World

And it's getting cooler and cooler. Some awesome interactive stuff is added and being perfectionized and the ladies are still working very hard at things. It still rains.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: Do NOT touch the building.
# 2: Houses and reflections.
# 3: Do NOT touch the building, a few seconds later.
# 4: Of all the awesome textures, this is one of my favourites.

You want to touch the building, dontcha:

Day 9, Strawberry's World

A busy day in Strawberry's World. Besides the regular crew -Straw, Wendy, Darko and Carbon- full time bunny and talented scripter Ego was there, holding a dead pony in his arms. Well, he told me 'the pony was only sleeping', but it reminded me an awful lot of my parents telling me my rabbit 'just went on a holiday'.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: Groovy! A brand new tower in the centre!
# 2: Darko, Carbon, me and my Colie-doll.
# 3: The edge of Strawberry's World and some Funky! Funky! Funky! WindLight sky. I do dig that name.
# 4: Ego, one bad ass bunny.

It's okay to bring your dead pets to Strawberry's World:

Day 8, Strawberry's World

Those of you who liked Strawberry's earlier installations, will go crazy seeing this. It's "A Fishbowl View" extra super special large, and it's not under water, allthough it is wet. Nobody was around when I tp-ed in today, but I noticed, like every day really, that a lot of work had been done. The textures looked even more brilliant, the reflection looked shinier and hahaha! Check that road!

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: I love, love, hardcore love that picture.
# 2: Me flying above the strawberried-up road.
# 3: Corner
# 4: Cute little panorama.

Day 7, From now on it rains

I was still not over how brilliant the newly added colours are when I noticed a new awesome feature was being added: the rain.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: A black and white shot for the sake of artistic balance. :-P
# 2: Looking straight into the rain.
# 3: Straw in a remarkable costume.
# 4: Fragment.

Want to go to a place where it rains that is not Ireland?

Day 6, And there was Colour

Ooooow yes! I am so happy I am not colourblind! Today the textures were added and allthough -of course- according to Strawberry it still needs 'a lot of work', it already looks fantastic, awesome, supercool, and like a hardcore Strawberry creation. I met Carbon, Strawberry's scripter of undefined sexe, who will take care of the interactive elements in the installation.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: The above mentioned Carbon.
# 2: The purple tower, from today on will be named "The Phallus Tower".
# 3: Strawberry city
# 4: Hellow again! The from-the-right-angle-this-is-a-canal-house house.

Can you tell green from red?

Day 5, Strawberry's World

Suddenly I realized we were already on day 5, and I had no photo yet of one of the most important avies around: Wendy. Wendy should have been caputered much earlier for many reasons. First of all, Wendy is Strawberry's muse and love and therefore simply can't be left out. Secondly Wendy and Straw are the only gay married couple I know in Second Life, so I think they both rock no matter what.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: WendyofNeverland Fussbudget, always smiling, always there. <3
# 2: Ease on down that road peoples!
# 3: I was erm focused on round objects today.
# 4: Strawberry and Wendy, discussing things.

Check out those perfect curves:

Day 4 and a half

Today I asked Straw what the name of this project would be, since I always admired the supercool names of her earlier works. "God lost touch" is the title of one of the paintings that inspired the built, but Strawberry thought it was a bit heavy to be dragging God into what is to be a happy occasion.
Quiet heavenly is the new spiral stairs though: it never seems to end, but eventually it does. And you will agree it was worth the climb, dammit.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: It's windy, it's long, it's a stairs.
# 2: I love that detail. Unfortunately the tears don't come out very well in this pic, but I can assure you the hands have nothing to do with squeezing a zit.
# 3: The spiral stairs, the reflection, in an exciting battle of shadow and light. Blah blah. Blah.
# 4: Even upside down and in black and white, it's still pretty damn cool.

Yeah. You know you wanna see what's up that stairs:

Day 4, Strawberry's World

Besides looking a lot hotter than the average construction worker, Strawberry is also a lot quicker. Some major work had been taking place, and for the first time I found Strawberry afk (collapsed on the keyboard? which would be cok) doing a groovy little dance in a cloud of particles. I danced a bit with her while taking some pics and realized once again how much I also love my Second Life.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: A very conventional looking road was added. But nevertheless, there is a road now. The little black dot on the road is me.
# 2: One of the unpainted buildings.
# 3: An amazing reflection effect was added. Oof this place is going to be so cool.
# 4: Particles, the artist afk and a groovin faerieboy.

Do a dance in Strawberry's World, bring your particles:

Day 3, Strawberry's World

Whenever I tp in, Strawberry and Wendy are usually there working away and I wonder if they ever sleep. I wouldn't be surpised to find these powerchicks on a stay-awake-marathon untill the place is finished. It is freaky to walk around in a world with no colours, that is still so clearly made by Strawberry, who is famous for her wild collection of crayons as we all know.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: Windows, shapes.
# 2: Dreammaker Strawberry Holiday.
# 3: The entrance as it was.
# 4: More windows, more shapes.

Day 2, Strawberry's World

I love seeing this project develop, and I love to unscrupulously take pictures of every random stranger I come across here.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: Random stranger/possible friend of Strawberry, looking deadly cute.
# 2: Overviewish fragment.
# 3: This new built is based on a small series of Strawberry's paintings. Some examples of her 2D work can -and should- be checked out on this website: http://www.wingedstrawberry.com/
# 4: When looked upon from the right angle, this little house looks like a classic Amsterdam canal house. Yeah, I can't seem to get the f. over it. :-)

Day 1, Brave New Berry

One of Second Life's most delightful artists, Strawberry Holiday, is creating a new installation of her vibrant art. Strawberry's other 3D works "A Fishbowl View" and "On their Journeys", are well known and loved in Second Life, and her new project promises to be even more far out.
Strawberry did me the honour of being the site-photographer and I have a special name tag to prove it, dudes. I tp-ed in as often as possible to document the realisation of a groovy chick's dream.

The pictures, clockwise starting left bottom:

# 1: Me, climbing the stairs to Strawberry's World. I am wearing my Egidius Eel wings, made by Strawberry. Yeah, she is pretty allround indeed.
# 2: ColeMarie Soleil in the shadow.
# 3: The lady herself: Strawberry Holiday.
# 4: The lay out is there, the shapes are there, and that's about it. Hey, it's day 1.
